Energy Workshops

Hinesburg Energy Committee (HEC) is excited to announce our two upcoming workshops designed to help you prepare your home for winter. Join us to learn how you can implement low and no-cost retrofits to keep your home comfortable and healthy this winter.

Each workshop will be 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM at Hinesburg Town Hall, 10632 VT Route 116, Hinesburg, VT, 05461. Childcare will be provided for families that pre-register online (see link below). Pre-registration is not required for attendance. Specific workshop topics are provided below. Everyone is welcome and attendance is free.

October 9 - Button-Up Workshop – Learn how homes lose energy and discover opportunities for saving money on your energy bills. This workshop will cover low-cost tips, air sealing and insulation, and financial and technical resources. Free weather stripping and refrigerator thermometers will be provided to help you kick-off your winter weatherization project.

October 23 - Healthy Homes Workshop – Ever wonder whether your home is making you sick? This workshop will provide you with a practical knowledge of the relationship between homes and health. Join us to learn about the house as a system, research documenting the link between homes and health, and the basic principles of healthy homes. Ensure that your fall Button-Up efforts support a healthful living environment.
